Grayscale has revealed a long list of new cryptocurrencies, including meme coins and AI tokens, that may soon be added to its investment products.

As part of its review process, the investment firm adjusts its list of potential product offerings 15 days after the end of each quarter.

Grayscale reveals potential candidates for Q1 2025

In an official statement, Grayscale said it is considering adding 39 altcoins to its list of investable digital assets. This list of 39 altcoins is divided into five categories: Currency (crypto assets as a medium of exchange or store of value), Smart Contract Platforms, DeFi, Consumer & Culture, and Utility & Services

Notably, this isn’t the first time Grayscale has added altcoins to its suite of potential investment products. In a similar move, the fund previously added 35 altcoins to its investment consideration list in mid-October.

According to the table above, some altcoins that were on the previous consideration list remain on the latest list. These include KAS, APT, ARB, and TIA. Similarly, some others have been removed. This shows the complexities of making it onto Grayscale’s list of investable projects.

“The list is subject to change during the quarter as some multi-asset funds are reconstituted and we launch new single-asset products,” Grayscale added.

Assets or projects marked with an asterisk (*) were only added to the list after December 31st. Their value may be based on emerging trends in the development of the crypto industry.

Compared to the previous announcement, this updated list shows Grayscale is paying attention to RWA, DePin, and AI, with a particular interest in AI agent tokens.

In addition, Grayscale has also included Binance Coin (BNB) and Hyperliquid (HYPE), which are tokens associated with centralized and decentralized exchanges. This shows that the company is looking to penetrate the exchange ecosystem and expand its investment scope.

Grayscale’s announcement also did not have any significant impact on the price of any of the 39 altcoins. The overall market has witnessed continued liquidations over the past week, with a slight recovery recorded today.
